OUR SCHOOL

History

Established in 1916, it was originally named Anabu School. As years went on until 1921, the name was changed to Anabu Primary School and the number of pupils’ increased though at that time there were only 2 to 3 teachers. Later on, the school was named to Anabu Barrio School.

After World War II, big improvements and developments occurred. The original Anabu School/ Anabu Primary School was facing the old Anabu Road but the construction of the new school after the war underwent and made it facing Aguinaldo Highway as suggested by Ms. Elpidia E. Bonanza, the principal of the schools in the town of Imus. As improvements and developments occurred, the number of teachers and learners started to increase.

In 1950, the school became a complete elementary school. It was the only complete elementary school in the barrio then. Learners from the adjacent sitios like Pasong Buaya, Ragatan, Pasong Santol, Anabu I, Salawag, and Buhay na Tubig came in to enroll and study. Mrs. Generosa Ocampo became the first principal of the school when it was recognized as a complete elementary school. Great changes were made possible through her initiative, resourcefulness and diligence.

The nipa roof and bamboo walls of the school building became dilapidated. Damages started to appear and accumulate over time. In 1980, the nipa roof was replaced with second-hand galvanized iron and major repairs on the floorings and sidewalls were done. Funds used for replacement and repair came from private individuals.

With the untiring and endless effort of the principal, teachers, and parents, buildings like the Industrial Arts Bldg., H.E. Bldg., Learning Resource Center, Office of the Principal, and the School Clinic were added.

When Mrs. Ocampo was promoted and transferred to a higher position, Miss Concepcion Medina took over. Mrs. Carmen C. Ramirez came in next and brought great renovations in the school. After her, young and energetic, Miss Trinidad C. Montoya showed her modern approach in leadership. Like the other past principals, she continued the improvements started by her predecessors.

The policy made by Imelda R. Marcos, former First Lady and Governor of Metro Manila, that was to disperse schools, colleges, and universities from the metropolis, played an important role in the tremendous development and progress of Anabu II Elementary School. The proximity of the said colleges and universities that were established in the different places of the big area of Dasmariñas, Cavite holds promise for the future generation in the field of education.

Hence, from then on, overwhelming and continuous improvement started up to this date as to where Anabu II Elementary School now.

Principal's Message

COVID-19 pandemic had brought great challenges in the education system here and all over the world. Parents and learners aired their sentiments on challenges encountered. Teachers and school authorities have their own share of challenges. But, life and pursuit for education should not end with the virus. It should be taken as an opportunity to open broader and more positive possibilities without compromising the lives of our teachers, learners, parents, and other stakeholders.

It is no secret that a good education has the power to change life. With that, Anabu II Elementary School of Schools Division of Imus City finds every opportunity to have quality and safe education for all through the different learning modalities.

OUR MANDATE
The Department of Education was established through the Education Decree of 1863 as the Superior Commission of Primary Instruction under a Chairman. The Education agency underwent many reorganization efforts in the 20th century in order to better define its purpose vis a vis the changing administrations and charters. It supervises all elementary and secondary education institutions, including alternative learning systems, both public and private; and provides for the establishment and maintenance of a complete, adequate, and integrated system of basic education relevant to the goals of national development.
